Dear Birthmother

I am so proud of you. Placing your baby for adoption is an incredibly difficult decision and one I suspect you are agonizing over. As a pediatric nurse, I have worked with children and families all my life and have seen struggles that mothers go through. Although I don't know you, I suspect choosing adoption is a way to give yourself, your baby, and your other kids (current or future) a better life than you would be able to if you raised your baby yourself. I know you love your baby and want them to have the best life possible. Thank you for considering adoption and me to be their adoptive parent.

Pregnancy is not an option for me; Adoption will fulfill my dream of becoming a mother. I know motherhood comes with challenges and struggles, something I am up for, especially considering the love I will receive in return. I am confident I can give your baby a safe, secure, and comfortable environment to grow up in. Most importantly, I will love them with all my heart and surround them with other people who will offer love, support, and guidance. I will expose them to lots of activities and will nourish their strengths and help them with their weaknesses so that they can grow into the best person possible. I am so grateful to you for making this decision and would be honored if you chose me as the adoptive mother for your baby.

My Home

Home

In 2024, I bought a new home that has lots of space, four bedrooms, a nice, screened porch, and a yard. It will be perfect for a child in the years to come. I live in a neighborhood with people of all ages — families with young kids, older kids, no kids, retirees, and more. There are at least two parks right in the neighborhood and more close by, along with hiking trails and parks for lots of outdoor activities, including a park with a splash pad. There are community pools, museums, animal petting parks, and two universities which offer many kid-friendly events. There is an elementary school five minutes away. I have one cat, Fergus. He is orange and very friendly, and follows me everywhere.

My Family

Extended Family

My brother and my mom live in the same city, not far away. Unfortunately, I lost my dad in 2024 and miss him very much. I see my mom every few days, we're in constant communication, and she is very excited to become a grandmother! I have many cousins, with most of my extended family living in the same area as me. We sometimes have lunch after church on Sundays, and I go to some of the kid activities (sports, plays, etc.). Extended family always gathers for Easter with an outdoor lunch after church, followed by a big Easter egg hunt for the kids. We also get together every other year for Thanksgiving — a big feast. My immediate family gathers for birthdays, holidays, and anything else to celebrate. My mom and I both bake, so we always have delicious homemade desserts. Some of my family live right on the Florida coast, less than an hour away. We like to go fishing and snorkel for scallops, swim, or just hang out — eating is always involved. Growing up, my family always had homemade pizza on Friday nights — a tradition we've continued with my cousin's daughters and I'd like to continue with my own child.
