Dear Birthmother

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We understand that this decision is not an easy one and must be deeply emotional. Your courage and selflessness in considering this choice are truly remarkable, and we cannot thank you enough.

Becoming parents has always been a dream of ours. Family is central to our lives, and it would be an honor to welcome your child into our loving home. As a biracial family, we value inclusivity and compassion, believing every child deserves to be celebrated, accepted, and supported. We are committed to creating a home where your child is free to grow into the person they choose to be, with no limits placed on their dreams or ambitions.

We promise to provide unconditional love, warmth, and laughter and to nurture your child every step of the way. Thank you again for considering us as potential adoptive parents. Your decision means more to us than words can express, and we deeply admire your strength.

With love,
Joel & Addison

Our Home

Home

We live in a lovely, well-established Georgia neighborhood, where kids can often be seen riding scooters, bikes, and golf carts. The area has a strong sense of community, with neighbors stopping to chat while walking their dogs and looking out for each other when needed. We're conveniently close to local restaurants, shops, and a weekly farmers market during the warmer months. Our family includes our 11-year-old dog, Maizy, whom we've had since 2014, and our newest addition, a rescued kitten named Stormi, who’s just under six months old. We also have an apartment in Brooklyn, NY, that we frequent.

Our Family

Extended Family

Joel grew up in a warm and vibrant family with two sisters and one brother. His father’s extended family is quite large, with two aunts and two uncles, while his mother’s side is smaller, with one aunt. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter, storytelling, and quality time. From Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July, traditions play a central role thanks to Joel’s mother, an enthusiastic decorator who brings every holiday to life—none more so than Christmas. Each year, the family begins the holiday season by opening gifts at home before heading to Mema’s for a cozy and memorable Christmas dinner.

Addison, in contrast, grew up in a smaller family with just his younger sister. His extended family includes two aunts and three uncles on his father’s side and one aunt on his mother’s side. A cherished tradition on his father’s side is the annual October gathering to prepare a hearty meat stew known as “burgoo.” Games are a cornerstone of family bonding, creating cherished memories for both close and extended relatives. Growing up, the holiday season in Addison’s household meant a weekend dedicated to transforming the home, pulling decorations from the attic, and preparing for the festivities together.
