Dear Birthmother
We would first like to thank you for considering us as potential parents for your child. While we can only imagine how difficult this decision is for you to make, we are honored to be among the potential families you are choosing from. Your bravery may give us the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream to be parents.
Know that with us, your baby will always have a loving and safe home, with support in all they strive to do throughout their lifetime. It will be full of love, laughter, fun, learning, and growth. We hope to both instill the values we have learned through our own families and ensure your child is raised in a home where they can fulfill their own dreams and embrace their innate values passed down from you, their mother. We also hope to teach them some of our favorite things to do, like baking together, playing with Legos, and learning the sport of curling.
We are committed to doing whatever we can to support and respect you as a mother and will respect any level of involvement you may wish to have in your child’s life. As a family member of an adopted child, we have seen how impactful these decisions can be and are welcoming of all situations. Thank you so much for considering us on your adoption journey.
With love,
Michael & Jason
Our Home

We live in a small South Carolina town in a historic home built in 1854. Our home has plenty of space to raise a family with five bedrooms, large open spaces, and a big, fenced-in backyard. We’d be honored to continue the tradition of all the families before us who have raised children in our home over the last 170 years. We are only blocks from downtown, the local library, an aquatic center, and many town festivals. We have four loving and friendly pets: Dexter, our 13-year-old Chihuahua mix, as well as Tina, Merlin, and Charlie, our three cats. We cannot wait for our furry children to have little siblings of their own to play with.
Our Family

We are both blessed with very large and close-knit families. While we don’t live in the same state as our families, we moved right in between the two so we are able to easily drive and visit as often as we can.
Michael’s entire extended family lives in Ohio and continues to this day a long-standing family tradition of having monthly family get-togethers. Each month all 40+ extended family members come together to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other family milestones. Jason’s family lives in Florida, and among his three siblings, we have seven nieces and nephews. All of his family live in the same town and regularly get together, with the annual pumpkin carving contest being one of the year’s highlights.
We both feel having a close-knit and loving family shaped who we are today and will continue this tradition as we build our own family together.
