Dear Birthmother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We are elated to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We are well aware that this is never an easy decision. Please know that we recognize that the decision is made with love and that we respect all the thought and emotion that is part of the process of choosing adoption for your child. Your child will absolutely join a loving home with us. We are very family oriented and maintain close relationships with our immediate and extended families.
Meal time, bath time, and stories at bedtime are all important family bonding opportunities we are eager to embrace. We both love puzzles and building blocks. We imagine creating large buildings and imaginary lands with our child that will cover the entire floor.
We have regular visits and dinners with relatives and always spend time together on holidays. As our child grows and develops interests, we will foster and support those activities. We believe that some activities are fine; however, we will be cautious to not overschedule their life. Our goal is to raise a confident and self-sufficient person who knows they are loved and valued. We will support our child in whatever they choose to do for a career, whether that path includes college or a trade.
Thank you for considering us as parents. It is an enormous gift for which our appreciation of the trust being bestowed upon us can never be fully expressed.
Sincerely,
Simon and Emily
About Us
We met through a mutual friend and made an immediate connection. Emily is a preschool teacher, and Simon is a woodworker, architectural draftsman, and currently procures materials for a building company.. A good sense of humor is one of our commonalities. We laugh and joke with each other a lot. Some of our favorite activities are going to the movies, taking walks with the dogs, playing games, swimming, or going to the beach, museums, historical sights, and parks. We love our activities, but we also enjoy snuggling up with each other on the couch and watching a movie at home. Emily loves to read and is continually expanding her cooking and baking skills. Simon loves working on cars, electronics, and woodworking and is a great handyman. We look forward to having our child join us in these activities and more.
Our Home

We live in a three-bedroom home with a fenced-in yard. Emily’s parent’s and her brother live in an attached wing that was built on to our home in 2021. Our home is in a family neighborhood with a town recreation center and park just a five-minute walk up the road. We enjoy taking walks there with the two dogs in our residence - a corgi and a black lab/great dane mix. Both dogs LOVE people and are gentle with children. Our fenced-in backyard and full basement rec room are both great areas for family activities. One of our most favorite features of our home is that we are now a multi-generational home with lots of love and helping hands to welcome a child.
