Dear Birthmother
Dear Mother,
Thank you — we can’t think of a more important way to begin. We imagine you might be feeling a mix of emotions right now, all of them valid. Whether you choose us or another family, please know we see you as strong, compassionate, and selfless. If no one has told you that today, let us be the ones to say it from the heart.
Our journey to fatherhood has been years in the making. In quiet moments — washing dishes at the sink, passing families at the playground, coming home for the holidays — we’ve found ourselves thinking about the child we hope to welcome, and about the courageous person who would make that possible. We’ve pictured laughter in our home, bedtime stories, and adventures in the park. We’ve also pictured your child growing up knowing where they came from and feeling proud of that story.
We’re both in steady, fulfilling careers, surrounded by loving friends and family, and have built a life that’s ready to be shared. We have patience, life experience, and endless love to give — and we’re ready to pour it into your child.
Life’s path has brought us here, to this moment between strangers whose stories could become forever linked. Call it destiny, divine timing, or a beautiful coincidence — we know that the most meaningful thing we’ll ever do will be made possible because of you. And for that, we will always be grateful.
With respect and warmth,
Adam & Billy
Our Home

We bought our four-bedroom home in 2020 when we realized that life in a small apartment with our three fur babies (two dogs Athena and Blanche and one cat, Maverick) was getting pretty tight! We live in a very safe and family-oriented neighborhood with great amenities, such as a pool and playground. Living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., we are close to the museums, monuments, culture, and history that our nation’s capital has to offer. Within our immediate community, we are walking distance to many parks, restaurants, shopping, and great schools.
Our Family

We both come from tight families. Adam’s family is smaller, but holidays and summer camping trips to local lakes were always spent with grandparents and family friends. He has an older brother and younger sister who have not started families yet.
Billy comes from a very large family. Although he only has one sister, he has dozens of cousins who grew up doing everything together. They took many family vacations, had tons of family parties, and spent a lot of time at Billy’s parents’ lake house in northern Wisconsin.
Right now our jobs and life have us living away from our families, but we still travel home to Washington State (Adam’s family) and Wisconsin (Billy’s family) for holidays, big events, or just a vacation at home.
