Dear Birthmother
I can’t begin to imagine the situation you’re in and the decisions you’ve had to make. You have shown tremendous love for the child you are carrying, and my goal is to build upon what you have started. My heart is so ready for this, so ready to give as much love and support to your child as I can. I have prepared myself for this for years; I have waited for the time that I could grow my family. I cannot wait to hold them in my arms and help carry them through life.
I am excited to watch them learn, and grow and I will do all in my power to cultivate an environment that allows them to be who they truly are. This is not an opportunity I take lightly, and I know it takes a lot of faith to entrust your child to someone else. Thank you for making this choice and for considering making my dreams come true. I promise to do everything I can to ensure your child has all the love and support they could want or need if you choose me. I cannot wait to meet them.
About Me
I am a fun-loving, adventurous, and family-oriented person. I love hiking and being outside. I played rugby up until recently, and now I coach. I also occasionally do woodworking projects. I enjoy relaxing at the house on weekday evenings and spending time with friends and family on the weekends. My fiancé and I have been together for about 2 years and have now moved in together. My fiancé and I have been together for about two years and have now moved in together. He has been with me since I started this journey and has been so supportive of the whole process. I know that he is going to make a fantastic dad as he is kind, caring, and lots of fun to be around. He works in IT and enjoys spending time with friends and family and is always up to go on adventures with me.
I am a clinical nurse manager currently, but I am working toward becoming a family nurse practitioner and will specialize in pediatric wound care. Luckily, my program is designed for those who work and have families. I also have a large community of support who can't wait to love on a little one.
What Led Me To Adoption
I decided I wanted to adopt when I was in middle school, when my aunt and uncle adopted my cousin. Right out of college, I worked at a school for abandoned, neglected, and abused children, and it solidified my desire to adopt. I even wanted to adopt a couple of the kids who went to the school, but their family was able to take them back home. I have never had a strong desire to have biological children, although I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was small. Adoption has always seemed like the right choice for me, and I am excited about expanding my family and finally becoming a mom.
My Home
Matt and I live in a four-bedroom house just outside of the city. We live in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to all kinds of stores and activities as well as being an easy drive into the city. We live about an hour from a state forest and have several green belts around the area, so we can get outside and enjoy nature. We have two big dogs who are the sweetest boys and love being around people.
My Family
I come from a big, close-knit family. My parents are divorced, and between the two of them, I have five brothers and sisters and four nieces and nephews, with a fifth on the way. They all live about three hours away, but we get together as often as we can. My mom and I are very close and talk regularly; she is also a very involved grandmother. I am very close with my extended family, and we see them several times a year, especially those on my dad’s side.
We go to the beach with my mom’s family every summer and either the beach or the mountains with my dad. The family land belongs to my dad’s family, and we meet out there regularly. We are also a part of a ranch, and we go there every Thanksgiving.
My boyfriend has three older brothers and is very close to them. We have spent several weekends with his family since we met, and they are wonderful people.
