About Us
Noah is an outgoing extrovert! After teaching high school science for the past six years, he has made the leap to focus on his passion for higher education and is now a senior assistant director for the admissions office of a large university! Justen is a compassionate and dedicated soul who has worked his way up from general help desk to an IT director. Outside of work, we are happiest when exploring the small towns of the Colorado mountains or catching the latest flick at the movies. When not out exploring, we spend time at home walking our two dogs, baking sweet treats, reading, and doing crafts. We also love to spend time playing cards with Noah’s parents, who live only ten minutes away!
What Led Us To Adoption
Since even before meeting, we have both desired to have a family. In an effort to grow our family, we have been foster parents for the past two years and had the joy of bringing in three little ones over that time. We fell madly in love with all three, and watching them grow only further confirmed our desire to be parents. We fully believe in the mission of foster care to reunite children with their families and thus plan to grow our family through adoption. Our favorite part of taking care of kids is watching them learn and develop as they begin to find their personality and humor. Our favorite time of day is story and snuggles right before bed.
Our Home

We live in Colorado with a beautiful view of the mountains. Our neighborhood is family friendly, with walking trails and a park and pool just down the street that always has kids playing in it. We love pets and have two dogs and two cats. Both of our dogs love kids and are incredibly gentle with little ones. The cats don’t seem to mind them either! As a former teacher, Noah made sure we lived in a strong school district, and the local elementary school is actually in the neighborhood.
Our Family

Noah’s family is made up of two parents and two brothers. His parents live only ten minutes away and, as pediatricians, are a perfect go-to for all things kid related. Noah is the oldest of three brothers; the middle child is currently in medical school, and the youngest is at college in San Diego. Our family is incredibly tight knit and has game nights and dinners almost once a week. Much of Noah’s extended family lives in Colorado too and always get together for the holidays and birthdays.
Justen is the youngest of three, with two older sisters. The oldest lives in Colorado and loves to come up and make dinner or play with kiddos. The middle child lives in Tennessee with her husband and ten-year old daughter. She cannot wait to be a big cousin and will not stop pestering us for info about a new baby. Justen’s mom also lives in Tennessee but calls him every day on his way home from work to catch up. She is a therapist, and we are currently trying to convince her to move to Colorado.
