We’d like to express our gratitude toward you for taking the time to read our profile. We understand every adoption plan is unique, and we do not want to make any assumptions regarding what you may be looking for in potential adoptive parents.
We hope that through our profile, you will get to know us as individuals, as a couple, and as the parents we aspire to be. We would like to share more about our values, passions, and interests as well as give you insight into our existing relationships with family and friends. We want to be transparent and open with you throughout this whole process.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share our story with you. We understand the adoption process can be emotional and recognize we cannot truly understand what you're going through. But please know that should you choose us as parents, your child will be loved unconditionally and supported throughout their life. We understand that we will have much to learn and will grow as parents, but we are eager and committed to being the best parents possible.
Reading our profile is just the first step in getting to know us. We hope to have the opportunity to meet with you and further expand on who we are as people, our expectations as parents, and our hopes for the future. Thank you so much for considering us as potential adoptive parents.
Our Home
We live in a quiet neighborhood in a three-bedroom, ranch-style house with a large backyard. The neighbors are friendly, with kids playing in the yards or biking in the street and walkers out with their dogs. Our favorite thing about where we live is that in 20 minutes you can be in the city or the country depending on which direction you head, and we can go to restaurants, shows, and sporting events or go kayaking and enjoy nature. Our beloved 17 yr old cat, Pepper, left us in May. We plan to have a new furry friend join our family soon! One of our favorite yearly activities is inviting friends over to watch Hocus Pocus on an outdoor screen while roasting marshmallows around our firepit.
Our Family
Family is at the heart of who we are, and we cherish the strong bonds we have with our loved ones. Katie comes from a large family consisting of three sisters, all of whom have children. Chris is from a smaller family, with just one brother. Living in close proximity to our families means gatherings are a frequent occurrence in our lives.
Some of our fondest memories together have been forged during summer cookouts at Katie’s parents’, where we play cornhole, laugh over shared stories, and watch the kids swim in the pool.
With seven nieces and one nephew, there is always a reason to celebrate. From birthdays to school activities and sports achievements, we find countless opportunities to come together. Watching the children play and grow is truly a gift, and their excitement when their favorite cousins walk through the door fills our hearts with warmth. We can't help but imagine the joy of adding one more cherished cousin to this beautiful mix.
