This is hard to put into words, and we do feel we should start by expressing our gratitude to you for taking the time to read our profile, discover our love story, and learn about our family. Thank you for considering us. If you choose us, we’ll be forever grateful.
April is excited to teach your baby everything she knows about sports (which is a lot). Our backyard is the best place to play catch, and we have a basketball hoop ready to go in the driveway. Kristin is excited to make memories with your baby with her love of cooking and creativity and to share her ability to let loose and enjoy the moment. (She is known for spontaneous dance parties.) There will be plenty of fun crafts and delicious food. Together we want to share and enjoy our passions with your baby while they learn to explore and discover their own. We will always make sure to provide your baby with a great education, countless sing-alongs, tons of fun, and many laughs.
We will give your baby an incredible upbringing and cheer them on as they discover their passions and talents. We promise to always provide your baby with stability, support, and unconditional love. We will welcome your baby with open arms and open hearts. We sincerely appreciate the time you have spent getting to know us. Your consideration means the world to us, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
About Us
We are April and Kristin, and we like to think of ourselves as loving, intelligent, responsible, and funny people. Unless our friends and family have been lying to us, we are not far off the mark. Fate had a plan when it brought us together 13 years ago in the heart of Texas. Our story began while working in the same restaurant where we enjoyed spending time together, and our friendship evolved. We fell in love and have been married since 2017. We would be honored to share all of life's adventures and experiences with your precious baby. We enjoy traveling to Mexico, Canada, and Disney and especially to see our families in Arizona and Washington. Our home is filled with laughter and love, whether we're dancing and singing while making dinner or indulging in movie nights complete with popcorn and ice cream.
What Led Us To Adoption
As a same-sex couple, we know the options to grow our family may look different than others, and we have always known adoption would be one way we wanted to start our family. We've also had the privilege of being foster parents, and even though our home is currently without children, we had the joy of caring for two little girls over the past two years. We knew then that adoption was the way we hoped to expand our family. Adoption will allow us to become the parents we have dreamed about.
Our Home
We live in a house and city we love with our three dogs and two cats in a family-friendly neighborhood with great schools. The community here is incredibly welcoming, and we frequently attend community events, including fun-filled gatherings by the lake, refreshing swims in the pool, playground adventures, and neighborhood-wide activities like food truck Fridays and outdoor movie nights. Our home is located near museums, parks, farms, restaurants, shops, and many more enriching experiences to share with your baby. We will ensure your baby has every opportunity to explore, learn, and grow. Our neighborhood and community are the perfect settings for them to flourish surrounded by love, support, and endless possibilities.
Our Family
We are both the oldest of two, and we each have a younger sister. Our extended family includes aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents who are all eager to welcome your baby.
Creating memories is something we truly enjoy. Whether it's quality time on the couch, our annual Disney vacation, attending a play where our nephew takes the stage, or cheering on our niece during her soccer games, our family is all about soaking up these moments. Thanksgiving is always a special time to get together for fun and laughter while eating way too much food.
All of our extended family and chosen family are excited and thrilled about our adoption journey and will always be there to love and support your baby. There will always be plenty of cuddles to go around, especially from our three pups.
