Dear Birthmother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Let us start by saying the decision you are making is admirable, courageous, and so selfless. It takes a lot of strength to choose adoption for your child. We cannot fully explain how appreciative we are that you took the time to learn about us and to consider us as prospective parents. As you are making this decision, we want you to know we will care for and love your child unconditionally throughout his or her lifetime.
After struggling with infertility and already completing the adoption process through foster care twice, we are so excited to have the opportunity to expand our family through adoption once again. Our sons are looking forward to having a baby brother or sister to love, and as a family, we will provide a fun, loving, stable, and caring home for your child. We would love nothing more than to teach your child how to bake Norwegian goodies as well as learn to bake desserts and foods important to your heritage.
We look forward to getting to know you and having an open and thoughtful relationship as we build a lasting bond. We are excited by the opportunity to provide your child with love, learning, and adventure throughout his or her life. We promise to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun family for your child. Thank you again for considering us as prospective parents. We are so happy you have given us a chance at becoming parents again.
Our Home

We built our home in 2018 in a neighborhood outside of town. We live on a two-acre lot in a large house with five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. We have a love of movies, so we finished a home theater in our basement recently. Our community is unique in that during the off-season, we have a small, tight-knit community. During the summer, we become a tourist destination with many activities available. We love to utilize the many golf courses, playgrounds, an amusement park, minigolf courses, and sand volleyball courts. Growing up in a small Iowa town gives the opportunity to form close relationships from a young age that can last a lifetime.
Our Family

Patrick has a large family and is the middle child, with two older brothers and two younger sisters. Mallory also has a large family, with her late father being one of six children and her mother one of three. Mallory is the youngest, with an older brother and sister. We get together with our extended families for camping trips in the summer, holiday gatherings, and other special occasions. We enjoy playing games and spending time together.
During the holidays, we trek through the cold to handpick a tree every year from the local Christmas tree farm—the taller the tree, the better! We also get together with family to bake Norwegian Christmas goodies to give to our family and friends. Mallory used to work at Walt Disney World in Orlando, so one of our favorite traditions is to get together with the friends she made and go back to the Disney Parks to see how they’ve changed. We spend a lot of time with our siblings and parents, where there is no shortage of fun and laughter as well as love, support, and encouragement. Our whole family is so excited to add a little one to our traditions.
