Dear Birthmother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We can only imagine the mix of love, courage, and hope that brought you here, and we want you to know how deeply we admire your strength. Considering adoption takes an incredible heart, and we’re so grateful you’re taking a moment to learn about us. Whatever decision you make, we hope you feel supported and surrounded by kindness and respect every step of the way.
We’re two husbands who found in each other not just love, but a true partnership. After six wonderful years together and a joyful wedding with our family and friends, our dream now is to become dads. Our home is full of warmth, laughter, and love—with two friendly dogs and a cat who thinks she’s in charge. We can’t wait to share our world with a child: discovering new adventures together, reading bedtime stories, and creating a life rooted in joy, stability, and connection.
We believe every child’s story begins long before we meet them—and that their history, including you, will always be honored as part of who they are. We’re open to whatever level of connection feels healthiest for you and your child and will always speak of you with respect, gratitude, and love.
With all our hearts,
Matthew & Joseph
Our Home
ur home is a cozy ranch at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, filled with warmth, laughter, and the happy energy of our two dogs, Hank and Huey, and our cat, Lilo—who truly act like siblings and are inseparable. Just a short walk away is a beautiful park with a walking path where we spend time outdoors together. We’re also within walking distance of top-rated public schools and only a short drive from several local beaches. Being between Boston and Providence means easy access to aquariums, museums, festivals, and all kinds of family-friendly adventures.
Our Family
Our family and friends have been incredibly supportive and excited about our journey to become parents. Matthew’s parents, Lee and Dawn, and Joseph’s parents, Doug and Jacqueline, are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming a new grandchild into their lives. Joseph’s brothers, Jonathan and Justin, along with Justin’s wife, Kristina, and their young son Alejandro, are eager to embrace a new cousin into the family with love and laughter.
The holidays are filled with fun and friendly competition. At Thanksgiving or Christmas, you'll find us all gathered around the table for spirited games of Phase 10, Uno, Racko, or teaming up in the game Pandemic.
We’re fortunate to live near a close-knit circle of friends—Zack, Jeremy, and Chris—who join us for weekend brunches full of great food and even better conversation. Their encouragement has meant the world to us. A few times each year, we travel to Maryland to visit our longtime friends Liz, Erik, Jeff, and Robin, who have also been cheering us on through every step of this process. Whether nearby or across state lines, our friends and family can’t wait to welcome and support a child with open arms and open hearts.
