Dear Birthmother
We want to start by recognizing the monumental sacrifice you are making. Being considered as adoptive parents for your child is not something we take lightly, and we’d cherish the gift you’d be giving us.
We know this is a huge decision for you, and whatever you decide, we are grateful you took the time to get to know us. We would be honored if you chose us to adopt your baby. Family is everything to us, and we have a lot of love to give a child. We cannot predict the future, but we can make you a few promises:
-We will give your child all the love we have in our hearts.
-We will keep your child safe from harm.
-We will give your child every advantage and opportunity possible.
-We will always strive to be the best parents and best people we can so your child is happy, healthy, loved, and secure.
We believe in adoption and can ensure that your selfless choice now will guarantee a lifetime of love and support for your child from both of us and our family!
All our best,
Matt & Melinda
About Us
Hi! We are Melinda and Matt from Maryland. We met in 2017 on a dating app of all places! (We know—it actually worked.) We have been together ever since. Matt is a home health physical therapist whose job gives him exposure to a diverse array of patients from all walks of life. In his free time, he likes to do home projects, watch football, play basketball or tennis, and go golfing. He considers his brothers his best friends. Melinda describes Matt as hardworking, patient, and kind hearted. Melinda is a career hairstylist who loves making people feel confident and building relationships with clients. She is an avid reader, animal lover, and social butterfly. Matt describes Melinda as charismatic, witty, and resilient. Together, we like to spend time with our pets, go to the beach (we are crazy beach lovers), try new restaurants, and spend time with our families.
What Led Us To Adoption
From the time we met, we both knew having children was one of the most important things to both of us. We have tried to grow our family for several years. It has been a long, difficult road to parenthood, and we have grown together and learned so much. We have a lot of love to give, and we are confident becoming parents through adoption is meant for us. We can't wait to give a child our whole hearts!
Our Home

Our sweet home is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in a quaint neighborhood. We specifically chose our home because of the great schools, diverse community, and access to the places that surround us. Our small town in Maryland has everything from walking trails and parks to family-friendly restaurants and a bustling main street with events all the time for both kids and adults. We are a BIG animal family! Melinda grew up with several pets, so when we met, Matt knew it was a non-negotiable that we would have our own. He very quickly became attached to our dog, May. Since then, we've adopted two cats, Nelly, and Sophie. We believe teaching kids to be gentle and kind to animals helps them grow empathy and learn compassion. All three of our pets are around kids often and are friendly and used to children.
Our Family

We both grew up in Maryland and are each one of five kids. Matt is one of five boys, and Melinda has two brothers and two sisters. Did we mention that Matt is a twin?! His family all live spread out across the East Coast, so we take road trips a lot to visit with them. Melinda’s family mostly all live within 30 minutes of us, so we see them weekly.
Each side of our families try to get together as often as possible, including everything from Sunday dinners, cookouts, holiday celebrations, and yearly beach vacations! When we can't be together in person, we are constantly texting and FaceTiming to keep in touch. We celebrate EVERYTHING! We feel so lucky to each have close relationships with our parents and sisters and brothers. Matt has two nieces and one nephew, and Melinda has three nieces, whom we all love and adore. Both sides of our family have been incredibly supportive and excited for us in our adoption journey. We are certain our future child will be loved beyond belief by all their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
