About Us
Though hailing from different backgrounds, we form a dynamic duo. Michael, a program manager, brings his meticulous planning and strategic mindset from the U.S., always ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. Outside of work, he has a penchant for home remodeling, old movies and TV, and traveling, often spending weekends on fun projects around the house. Manuel, on the other hand, is a passionate fashion photographer from Paraguay. His keen eye for detail and love for capturing beauty is evident in every photograph he takes. When he's not behind the lens, Manuel immerses himself in music, cooking, caring for the home, and live concerts. Together, our days are a blend of creativity, strategy, and shared moments, making for an enriching and balanced life.
What Led Us To Adoption
Driven by a deep desire to share our love and life, we've chosen to expand our family through adoption. This journey represents more than offering a home; it’s about intertwining a child’s life with our heartbeats and daily moments. A testament to our belief in adoption’s beauty is Michael’s sister, who was adopted. Her journey, woven into our family fabric, showcases the enduring ties formed beyond biology. This fortifies our commitment. Having personally witnessed the transformative power of adoption within our family, we’re filled with hope, enthusiasm, and readiness to welcome a child, cherishing the love and memories they'll bring.
Our Home
Our home radiates love and laughter, with ample space for children to thrive. Our backyard, an oasis for family barbecues and pool parties, echoes with Manuel's culinary delights from the kitchen. Our neighborhood exudes warmth and community, where tree-lined streets buzz with playing children and friendly chats. Nearby, parks host family outings, and the historic downtown, library, and community theater offer cultural enrichment. Our local schools, integral to our community, champion a comprehensive educational approach, nurturing both intellect and emotional growth. Our household’s joy is further amplified by our pets: Jack, a gentle miniature schnauzer, and Tom, a playful schnauzer-poodle mix. Both cherish children’s company. Together, our home and surroundings offer more than just shelter; they craft a nurturing tapestry of cherished moments and boundless memories.
Our Family
Our extended family is a rich tapestry of diverse personalities and stories, unified by an unwavering bond of love and support. Michael is one of three siblings, with their shared history weaving through every stage of life. Manuel, on the other hand, is nestled in the middle of seven siblings, each relationship brimming with its own unique charm.
Outside our immediate families, our clan blooms with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Our lively reunions, especially during Thanksgiving at our home, radiate with laughter, games, and treasured storytelling. Equally precious are our visits to Paraguay for Christmas and New Year’s to reconnect with Manuel's roots. More than mere vacations, these are soulful reunions that celebrate heritage, love, and the vibrant Paraguayan culture.
